Bde5.11 is the Borland Database Engine (BDE) version 5.11, distributed by LOEPFE BROTHERS LTD. – TREEPOINT Division as a required runtime for certain Windows applications. It provides legacy 32-bit database services and drivers (such as Paradox, dBASE, and ODBC), enabling data access and storage for dependent programs. This is a shared system component, not a standalone end-user application; uninstalling or altering it independently may cause Loepfe/Treepoint software to stop functioning. As a legacy technology, it is typically installed only to support older or specialized deployments.
